It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of Ex - Captain William Martin, who passed away on January  17,2011 at the age of 76. Bill was a 39 year member of the Freeport Fire Department, Ever ready Hose Co.1, Ex -Captain of Fire Police and was a life member of this Association.  Our condolances go out to his wife, Lorraine, and to the rest of the Martin family on their loss. 

 It is with deep regret that we anounce the passing of Ex-Captain Emory Wright, who passed away on April 2,2011 at the age of 83. Emory joined the Freeport Fire Department in 1946 and provided service to the Department for over forty years.Emory was an Ex-Captain of Excelsior Hook and Ladder # 1 and also was a member of Emergency Rescue Co. # 9 . He also was a life member of this Association. Our condolences go out to the Wright Family on thier loss.

It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of Honorary Chief Robert A. Franke, who passed away on April 3, 2011 at the age of 75, Robert was a 51 year member of Bayview Hose Company # 3 and the Freeport Fire Department. He also was a life member of this Association.. Our condolences go out to his wife Rose and to the rest of the Franke family on thier loss. 

It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of Ex- Captain James E. Clark, who passed away on April 12,2011. Jimmy was a member of the Freeport Fire Department and member of Eveready Hose Co. 1 from 1958 through 1988. He also was a life member of this Association.Our condolences go out to his Daughter Carol Lee Schmidt and to the rest of the Clark Family on thier loss.
